Description

The RAAWC is a multi-sport, multi-distance winter challenge with the goal to log as many miles as you can over 3 months starting the first day of winter, December 21st and ending March 20th.

You can Walk, Run, Fat Tire Bike, Indoor Bike, XC Ski or Swim across Alaska with your choice of 6 different routes of varying distances depending on your goals!

  • 125 miles = Anchorage to Seward (1.4 miles/day)
  • 225 miles = Anchorage to Homer (2.5 miles/day)
  • 350 miles = Anchorage to Fairbanks (3.9 miles/day)
  • 500 miles = Alaska Long Trail, Seward to Fairbanks (5.4 miles/day)
  • 850 miles = Anchorage to Deadhorse (9.5 miles/day)
  • 2000 miles = Ketchikan to Deadhorse (22.3 miles/day)
  • 2000 miles 5-person Relay = Ketchikan to Deadhorse (4.3 miles/day per teammate but anyone on the team can do more/less, you get to make your rule rules!)

You will have the ability to log your miles, track your progress, collect virtual badges, and see how you rank up to others on the leader board daily.  Invite your friends for a discount and to challenge you to stay motivated all Winter long!

RAAWC is a fundraiser for the Alaska Trails, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the vision of Alaska connected by sustainable trails and the development of The Alaska Long Trail.  For every racer that participates, $10 will be donated to Alaska Trails PLUS racers can donate additional funds to support the development of The Alaska Long Trail.  Last year we were able to raise nearly $20,000 through your participation and donations!

The official race cannon will be fired at the Zoom Kickoff Party on December 21st at 4:30pm AKS (8:30pm EST).  Join our facebook group to hear about pop-up Zoom and/or Zwift FREE workouts along with facebook live videos!

So, the question is; Who’s ready to play?

Do It for the Swag!

STAY TUNED FOR OUR 2022 RACE SHIRT!

It's a tri-blend long sleeve hoody with a pom-pom hat! The shirt is 46% polyster, 27% cotton, 27% rayon. This is a SUPER soft shirt. Men's sizing fits true to size. Women's shirt sleeves are slightly shorter so sizing up a good option.

**Please note that shirt style and color may change, based on availability. Supply chain shortage is an issue races are experiencing as well.

This year we will have 2 packet pickups in Anchorage, Alaska in late December, stay tuned for details! For every person that picks up their packet, we will donate an additional $5 to the Alaska Trails!

All other racers will receive their swag in the mail! Shipping is included in our race price, EXCEPT outside of the USA receive a $25 shipping charge.
